Description

The records concern different transactions and dates: the 1877 documents; a 1916 tenancy; the 1924 and 1928 records; a 1938 conveyance and 1939 tenancy plan; the 1969 transfer; first registration; and the 1987 amalgamation of title records. The key comparison is the land described and coloured on each original instrument or plan.

Interpretation

The sequence justifies testing whether Parcel A and Parcel B had different documentary histories and exactly what land entered each registered title. The family’s reading of the 1939 plan as Parcel B only must be checked against the original plan. The 1987 amalgamation is a documented event; it does not by itself prove that Parcel A was unlawfully included, that notice was defective, or that anyone acted dishonestly [PENDING: EV-0078].

The unresolved points are the complete conveyances and plans, the exact registration applications and filed plans, service/notice records, and a parcel-by-parcel map matching the descriptions to the same ground. Land Registry Titles · Title Chain / Parcel A–B Matrix.

Added 15 October 2026 — first-registration title-basis control point: the possibility of a registration mistake is now set out separately in the 1983 First Registration: Parcel A Title Basis and Alleged HMLR Mistake page. The precise issue is whether WGR’s 1938 acquisition, the 1969 deed recited in later records, the 1975 BP Pension Trust–BP Properties deed and the 1983 WA240304 application describe and legally support the same land [PENDING: EV-0043; PENDING: EV-0052; PENDING: EV-0066; PENDING: EV-0063]. The 1939 tenancy plan is evidence of the tenancy’s extent, not proof of freehold ownership; the missing 1969 deed from the disclosed HMLR schedule is not proof it was never examined. A possession order is not itself a conveyance of the freehold. This remains an open, conditional title-chain hypothesis until operative deeds, plans and HMLR’s examination material are reconciled.

For the wider Cedwyn Estate working hypothesis, see Cedwyn Estate Working Theory. This page is not, by itself, proof of that hypothesis.
